Please see below a post from Rachel Blythe, parent and vice-chair of Friends at Broughton, who oversaw the Christmas Café on Friday.
“Thank you very much to everyone who helped the Winter Café run on Friday. Thank you very much to the splendid primary 7a and primary 7b helpers, the Pupil Council and Mr Borthwick, who ran the School’s contribution so dedicatedly and well. Thanks also to our team of volunteer parents, staff and friends of the School, who set up the stalls, kept them running so well on the day and contributed to the organisation of the event (Naomi Sandilands, Sandra Rathjen, Athina Sidera, Morag Higham, Debbie Williams, Ailsa McMullan, Lori Desborough, Hohit Seyoum, Nathalie Amato, Bayanaa Jambal, Hazel Colligan, Marketa Brezinova, Jackie Blair, Rebecca Winterstein, Sandra Bagnall, and Bence Solymar). Thanks to Jenni Longstaff and Anne Hay for all their advice towards running the event. Thanks very much to all families, who contributed bakery to the event and to the children, who contributed sparkle jars and craft items.
The Sparkle Jar competition was won by Amelie in p3B.

The craft item competition was won jointly by Language Class 1.

The best donated homemade food item was won by the family of Amelia and Leo from p1a.

Thanks also to everyone who donated raffle prizes and to everyone who came along to the Winter Café on the day !”
We’ll keep you posted when we have a total of funds raised.
We’d like to thank Rachel, and all the volunteers who helped run the café, as well as anyone who attended. Thanks for supporting the school!
