About Our School

The school is centred on the community of Broughton, just north of Edinburgh city centre. Our catchment area is widespread and stretches from Princes Street in the south to Warriston in the north. There is a rich social and cultural mix of pupils within the school. Currently around 25% of pupils attend from outwith the catchment area as a result of placing requests.

At present the teaching staff consists of Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher, two Principal Teachers, 20 class teachers, nursery teachers and Support for Learning teacher. In addition there are visiting teachers P.E. and swimming, cello and brass instructors. Support staff include 2 administration assistants, business manager, service support officer, and a team of learning assistants and nursery nurses.
