Have a great weekend everyone!
To mark World Children’s Day, we held a house morning, carried out a Community Litter Pick in St.Mark’s Park, and had a focus on playground games led by our support staff!
Our focus was Article 12 from the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, ” I have the right to be listened to and taken seriously.”
Here are some photos of our House Morning. House Teams got together to create a banner to represent one of the rights of the child. It’s been a fun and busy day!
As part of our Rights Respecting Schools journey, we are introducing Restorative Practice across the school. Attached below is a leaflet that gives more information on this approach.
Thanks to all those parents and carers who attended our drop-in on Friday. It was lovely to see the school so busy! The drop-in marked the end of a busy week of activities to mark Scottish Book Week, as well as being our dress down day for Children in Need! We hope you enjoyed the chance to visit and take part in an activity in class!

Some of our Nursery children attended the launch of the NSPCC ‘Pants’ campaign at McDonald Road library. This campaign is designed to teach parents how to have simple and age-appropriate conversations with their children about sexual abuse. The launch was also covered by STV, and a clip can be found by clicking on this link-
