Big Book of Achievement

Toby Sewell (P3a) has completed his first season for Herriot’s Hammers Junior Rugby Club and received a Certificate of Achievement. Well done Toby!

The P6 and P7 Interscholastics Team took part in the athletics event at New Meadowbank on Monday. They all did their best, and the girls relay team got to the final! They were all great ambassadors for the school, and we’re proud of you all!

Iliana Lekkas (P1a) received a certificate for completing Swim Skills 1! Well done Iliana!

Yevhen Semeniuk (P4b) won a medal for his football team coming 2nd in a tournament of 16 teams! Well done Yevhen!

Luna Brown Huarcaya (P6) received a certificate of congratulations from the Children’s Hospices Across Scotland charity for raising £224 for them! She did this by skipping 100 skips a day! Well done Luna!

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are excited to bring you an update on our Grow a 5er topic.

Over the last few weeks, we have worked hard to create and develop our products and we are now ready to welcome pupils to view and (hopefully) purchase some of our products. We have decided to host a selling afternoon on Wednesday 22nd May on the top floor. We will be inviting all parents of P6, P6/7 and P7 pupils to come and see our products from 1.40pm. We will then be offering all classes from P1-5 the opportunity to purchase our products.

Pupils will be showcasing what is available at Assembly this Friday through some PowerPoint slides. We will also share the same PowerPoint slides on each class page displaying our products and the price of each product.  If your child would like to buy something from us then please send them to school on Wednesday 22nd May with the money that they need. There will be change available but if possible exact money would be massively appreciated. In the event that we do not have enough change for all pupils on the day we will get their change to them no later than the end of the day on Friday 24^th May. 

More details will follow early next week.

80 metre sprint- 600m- Long Jump- Cricket Ball Throw- Relay- Mixed Relay

They all did their best, and the girls relay team got to the final! They were all great ambassadors for the school, and we’re proud of you all!

Big Book of Achievement

Indah Collins (P3a) and her dance group performed two dances at a recent Starpower dance competition at the EICC.  They won first prizes for both dances and three other special awards on the day.  Well done!

Charlie Hubbard (P1a) visited Yorkshire last weekend, and walked from Filey to Hunmanby Gap, a total of 3 and a half miles! Well done!

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thanks for your patience with Grow a 5er. We have had numerous issues with the MS Forms on the Sways so we have decided to host a selling afternoon on Wednesday 22^nd May at school instead of having pupils pre-order items. We will come around and bring children to the P6, P6/7 and P7 classrooms so they have an opportunity to purchase our products. We will also send a reminder email closer to the date so pupils can bring in money for the products.

Charlotte Slowey (P1b) got a medal for swimming 5 metres, and she earned a badge at Rainbows! Well done Charlotte!

Oliver York (P1b) learned how to snorkel when he was on holiday in Thailand. He saw swordfish and coral! Well done Oliver!

Max Slowey (P4a) moved up to Cubs after working hard to earn his Bronze award at Beavers, by attending camp and completing 4 activity badges. He also earned a medal for swimming 25 metres! Well done Max!
