Memorial

Over the weekend we had a memorial bench placed in our playground, in remembrance of Raheen, a P6 pupil who sadly passed away last term.

We held a short memorial service yesterday, attended by Raheen’s parents and Raheen’s classmates from P6a. This was a spot in the playground where Raheen used to enjoy spending time, and we hope this splash of colour in our playground will help all who knew Raheen to remember her fondly.

Parent Consultations- Video Calls Feedback

Due to COVID restrictions, we were unable to offer face to face parent consultations last term. We decided to use a choice, of phone call, or video call using the Parents Booking website.

The following survey is to get feedback from those parents who opted for a video call. Just click on the link, or scan the QR code to access the survey. We will be sharing the results of this survey with Parents Booking website too.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Children in Need

Just a reminder that our Pupil Council would like us to mark the annual Children in Need event this Friday 13th November.

They’re suggesting we have a uniform free day on Friday, where pupils can come dressed in their pyjamas, or dress up as someone they look up to.

If you’d like to make a donation to Children in Need, please follow the link below to our ParentPay Children in Need page.

Thank you!

Pupil Voice

Here are links to the members of our current pupil groups at Broughton.

We announced our new House and Vice Captains at last week’s assembly. Each house will have a captain from P7 and a vice-captain from P6. Here are their names!

We also have elected our new Pupil Council for the year. They met today and have already made their first decision in deciding how we will mark Children in Need this Friday. Here is the Pupil Council list-

We have also created our Equalities Group. This group will work together to look at ways we can make sure everyone at Broughton is represented and treated fairly. The members of  the group were interviewed for their place. They were  impressive in their knowledge of prejudices and passion to make a positive impact on the school. See the equalities group below-

We are very much looking forward to seeing these groups working together this year, and we’re interested to see their ideas and suggestions to make improvements to school!

Well done to all those who earned their places, not forgetting those who tried out for membership of these groups too. You’re all stars!
