P7 returned from their annual excursion to Lagganlia Outdoor Education Centre on Friday.
Based near Aviemore, the excursion allowed our pupils to experience a range of exciting and challenging outdoor experiences, including-
- Archery
- Canoeing
- Kayaking
- Mountain Biking
- Hill Walking
- Gorge Walking
- Skiing
- Bush Craft
- Tree Climbing
Our children had an amazing time, and developed independence and a range of life and outdoor skills.
The children had to push themselves to be their best, sometimes when they were lacking confidence in certain challenges. However, everyone achieved at least one moment of success where they overcame doubts and fears to conquer a challenge. Individual prizes were awarded to one pupil from each activity group, who showed a particularly supportive and encouraging attitude towards others, or particular determination and effort to succeed. Those pupils were Aidan Edgcombe, Holly Hou, Megan Wright and Aadi Chouhan.
Below are a selection of photos and videos from our week away. We hope you enjoy them. Huge thanks must also go to the members of staff who gave their time to accompany and look after the pupils while they were away. It wouldn’t be possible without you!
Well done to all!
