Pupil Council Update

Pupil Voice

Our Pupil Council have been very busy since they were appointed in October.

They organised our annual Children in Need event, and also supported our PSA Christmas Cafe by running the Pupil Raffle and ‘Guess the name of the Teddy’ competition.

They have also been working on a fantastic project with Miss Gordon, our EAL (English as an Additional Language) teacher. All the classes in the school were invited to make flags showing the range of cultures and languages that were represented in their class. Each class were also given a letter to decorate with the fingerprint of each class member. The Pupil Council collected in the flags and letters, and with Miss Gordon’s help created a display that celebrates the diversity of cultures and languages evident in our school.

The display has pride of place in our entrance corridor- here are some pictures if you haven’t seen it yet!

Something else our Pupil Council have been discussing is what makes them proud of our school., and what the unique qualities of our school are.

After lots of careful consideration and discussion, they decided on their ideas and we collected them in the form of two graffiti walls attached below-

Our Pride Wall

Our Unique Wall

As we look forward to next term, the Pupil Council already have plans for how they can support their peers in the playground, and will be creating an action plan of improvements they would like to put in place for the school. We’ll keep you posted of our plans!
