Hello everybody, and a happy, sunny Wednesday to you all!
Just a short post today, as we hope you’ll all get a chance to get outside to enjoy today’s lovely weather! Don’t forget to try and get some home learning done too though!
Mrs Martin has sent us another lovely update of some Art ideas. Today, she’s encouraging you to create Art using things you might find in the environment. It’s a lovely day to go collecting some of the things she suggests, and you could keep them safe for a day when it’s not so sunny and create something amazing! The link to her ideas is below.
Speaking of Artwork, we were sent a lovely piece of Art we just had to share on our website. Poppy from P2 has been busy, and has created this beauty- allow us to introduce to you….Mrs Love Bear! Thanks Poppy, she looks brilliant, and so colourful!
Don’t forget it’s not too late to send in any photos of School Uniform Day last Friday, or any other photos you’d like us to share here! Email them to our admin address, your class teacher, Mr Borthwick, or do what Poppy’s Mum did and send it to our Twitter feed! We’d love to see them.
Don’t forget we’ve not forgotten about the Edinburgh Marathon Festival, that was due to happen this weekend. You can still get involved, whether you were signed up or not. All you need to do is run, and anything you can manage is fine. Then share your pics and a few words. You could use the school Facebook group, or send them here for the school website. Feel free to tweet if you’re on Twitter and tag @bpsrunners @MrHairyHaggis and @Broughton_PS
Just a reminder that EMF was going to kick start our Health Week, which will obviously be a bit different than usual! Keep an eye on the website, for details of a lockdown sports day, and other health and wellbeing activities through your home learning next week.
That’s all for today folks. Enjoy the sunshine, but don’t forget to put sun cream on, and drink plenty of water!
Take care, and, as always, stay safe!
Mrs Venn, Mr Borthwick, Miss Bradley and Mrs Gowans
