Big Book of Achievement
Fraser Savage P3a- Fraser and his sister organised a Christmas Fundraiser for Edinburgh Cat and Dog Home. They made flyers, set up a hot chocolate and mince pie stall in the field opposite their house and organised a festive dog show for the local dog walkers. There were prizes for the most festive dog, waggiest tail and the smiliest dog. The event was really fun and they raised £139! Well done!
Toby Sewell P2-Toby was graded to the next level in his Active Tigers Taekwondo class and received a yellow belt in December! Well done!
Noora Ryan P1a- Noora earned a certificate because she swam 25m unaided for the first time at the Commonwealth Pool over the Xmas holiday!
Jerreline Law P2- Jerreline played ‘We Wish You A Merry Christmas’ on the piano at Edinburgh’s Christmas Piano Showcase 2022! Well done!

We’d like to wish everyone celebrating a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Today we got the chance to have our first Carols on the Stairs singalong since 2019, and it was lovely to hear all our voices united in song!
Thank you to all our pupils, staff, parents and carers for such a busy, hard working and supportive year! Team Broughton is a truly amazing force!
We hope you all have a restful, safe and happy holiday, and we look forward to seeing you all again on Thursday 5th January 2023!

FAB Online Raffle (closes 18th December) – A last reminder that our 18+ Online Raffle closes 18th December. Prizes have been generously donated by many businesses and parents/carers of the school. £2 per ticket. Winners will be drawn and contacted after 19th December. £50 restaurant voucher, Axe throwing experience, Skwitch, Lidl on Ice tickets, baked goods, art works and goody bags from local businesses are just a few examples of prizes. *NEW* FAB Winter Trail LAUNCHED (closes 31st December)! There are 14 local businesses for you to visit, all situated locally to the school, each has a clue on their window, individual opening hours applied. Let’s spread some festive joy with friends and family for this fun activity during the holiday season. Map can be found here. #stayActive
Donation welcome – minimum £1 voluntary donation via ParentPay by 13th January 2023
*NEW* FAB Kids’ Raffle Each child will be given a strip of tickets and winners will be drawn at school on 19th December. Many prizes have been secured by the Parent Council this year! Baked goods, book tokens, bike service and Christmas Tree Maze are just a few example prizes.

Another successful FAB Winter Café on 2nd December. £655 has been raised for the Parent Council and the fund will go back into benefiting the children. What a way to kick start our winter programme! Well done all! Thank you to everyone who supported us hope you all enjoyed it!
Special thanks to the P5/6 pupils who baked, the pupil volunteers for manning the stalls and the children who shared their wishes on the Wishing Tree. May all your wishes come true!
