Our PSA International Cafe was held today in our Dining Room.
The classes in school created bunting with various flags represented to decorate the room, and as always there were lots of tasty treats to be bought, with recipes from a range of diverse cultures.
The cafe made a total of around £350, so a huge well done to all the PSA and parent organisers, the pupils who helped set up and serve at the cafe, and to all the customers, who all helped raise that fantastic amount!
Now it’s up to our Pupil Council to decide how they’d like to spend the takings! Watch this space…
The next PSA event in our calendar is our Spring Disco in a month’s time, so look out for information about that soon!

The annual Global School Play Day took place on Wednesday 6th February. This event aims to promote a day of unstructured free play for children around the world, and last year over 300,000 pupils took part. This year Broughton joined in the fun.
While not all classes devoted the whole day to this, across the school there were a range of ways classes were marking this event, and each stage had a slot to use Loose Parts in the playground on Wednesday.
Here are some photos of our children having fun on the day!

Each stage will have a 30 minute slot to use Loose Parts in the playground on Wednesday, and while not all classes may devote the whole day to this, across the school there will be a range of ways classes will be marking this event. Sounds like fun to us!

Last June, the LC1 took part in a dig for EDF’S ‘What’s Under Your Feet?’ on The Pod education programme. We were digging to see if we could find any insects and had to send our data in. We were entered into a prize draw and won the competition!
Our prize was a visit and workshop in the LC with EDF, the British Trust for Ornithology and Chris Packham with the BBC! We got to learn lots about bugs and do some more digging! We got a special certificate awarded to us from Chris Packham and were filmed for an online video and Springwatch! We had so much fun and this was a great opportunity for us to further our learning! We will keep you updated about when we will be online or maybe even on TV! How exciting!

‘Take A Moment’ is the name of the next block in our ‘Building Resilience’ programme. In this unit, there are 3 main outcomes-
Attached below is a leaflet for parents and carers about this unit. We have also attached the Home Activity related to this unit, and some supporting information with ideas that can be used alongside the Home Activity.
Take A Moment- Parent and Carer Leaflet
Take A Moment- Support Sheet for Home Activity
We hope you find these useful!
