On Saturday 65 Broughton Primary pupils are running in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival.

The BPS Team are running an impressive 70 miles (112km) between them and that works out the same as climbing Ben Nevis an exhausting 83 times! We’re within touching distance of our £2,500 target to buy picnic benches and tables, plus more loose parts equipment for all our children to enjoy. If you’d like to come along and cheer the runners on, the 2k (9-12 years) race starts at 12.30pm and the 1.5k (6-8 years) race is at 1.30pm.

School Sports Day

Just a reminder that Sports Day for P1-7 will take place, weather permitting, next
Tuesday 31st May during our Whole School Health Week.

We are planning to hold the sports events on the bowling green, now named
Botanical Broughton, across from the school.

The P4-7 event is due to start at 9.15am and P1-3 starting at 1.30pm.

As we will be competing in our houses we are asking pupils to wear a top in their own house colour:
Drummond – Blue

Trinity-Green

Pilrig-Yellow

McDonald- Red

Parents are invited to come along to Sports Day and cheer on our budding athletes!
