Hello everyone, and a happy Friday to you all!
Well done on completing another week of home learning! There are only 2 weeks left until the summer break!
We start today’s update with some photos. Our Broughton Reads focus is ongoing, with lots of our pupils reading for enjoyment while having lunch, or taking part in ‘Drop everything and read’ time every Thursday at 2.30. Here are some photos you’ve shared with us!
We’re happy to share that P5 and P4 will be having Group calls with their teachers next week. Timeslots will be sent out via email, and more information is available on these class pages.
Mrs Gowans sent out a letter yesterday to ask for some information from parents and carers around children returning to school in August. It is attached below in case you missed it.
Parent and Carer Letter- Returns in August
We have been advised by CEC, that the short film, ‘Resilience’ will be shown at 8pm, on Sunday 14th of June on the below advertised channels.
We understand the film refers to Adverse Childhood Experiences and their impact on young people, so may be useful to watch if you can.
Our P7 pupils would normally be looking forward to their 3-day visits to High School from Tuesday to Thursday next week. Obviously these will be very different than originally planned, but high schools are still trying to provide a transition experience for these pupils. All the latest information and links we have been sent by high schools can be found in the ‘Transition’ page of our website. Don’t do any of the tasks till next Tuesday though, eager beavers!
That’s all for today’s post, and for another week folks!
We hope you have a great weekend, and, as always, stay safe!
