OPEG Book Audit

Our Pupil Equalities Group carried out an audit of library books to see if they represented a range of equalities themes. The group concluded that there could be more diversity in these books, but the good news is that we have already bought in some new titles, and will research some other suggested additions to our libraries!

The group shared their findings at assembly this week, and are happy to share their presentation below! They plan on carrying out more audit work like this, to get a picture across the whole school. Well done team!

FAB “Anything Goes” Spring Disco

Thank you all, for organising, for helping and for attending at the Spring Disco on the night of Friday 24th March!  Your support helped us raise £538, which will subsidise school trips and playground improvements etc!  The children really embraced the theme of anything goes with party duds, fancy dress or just came as themselves!  Loads of amazing dance moves on the night.

Our next Parent Council meeting is in person and it is on Wednesday 10th May, and planning for our Summer Fair (on Saturday 10th June) has already started – please fill in the questionnaires in your email. In the meantime, from the FAB HQ, thanks again and see you at our weekly Sunday Pilrig Park Run and Train Together at 10:30am!!  Have a lovely Easter break, all!!  #gobroughton

Please see below some information and photos of recent FAB events!

FAB double events on Sun 19th March

We had our first Pilrig Park Run and Train together event last Sunday.  14 children joined us!  The field was a bit muddy but it all added to the fun element – think mud balls after!!  FAB Pilrig Park Run and Train together is on every Sunday at 10:30am until 21st May.  See you at the next one, #broughtonrunners!

In the afternoon was our Playground Spring Clean event.  Again, well attended.  Almost all of the planters got tidied up, leaves swept, bulbs planted, tree labels being prepared and the children were rewarded with an egg hunt, organised by Mr Hippity Hoppity!

Thank you everyone! #gobroughton
