Good afternoon everyone,
Please see below the minutes of the most recent Parent Council/Friends at Broughton meeting, held last week.
Thanks!
To mark a year since we entered our first lockdown due to COVID-19, last week many classes in the school contributed towards a school display. The children expressed a message of reflection- perhaps a person they missed through lockdown and were thinking of, or a feeling they had experienced over the past year around what they had been unable to do due to restrictions.
Each message was folded into a heart shape, and each heart was added to the rainbow display we have shared pictures of below. The display was entitled, ‘Linking Our Thoughts Together.’ Thanks to Mrs McAndrew and Mrs Bertram for their ideas and efforts to create this lovely tribute!

Dear Parents and Carers,
We have been informed by CEC Estate Planning that a security fence is being erected along the side of the Powderhall Bowling Greens on St Mark’s Path. This is in preparation for the demolition of the pavilion.
This work is due to begin on Monday 29th March 2021 and is likely to take a few days. Signs will be installed on the entrance gates to this effect and the public are kindly asked to refrain from using the site once work begins.
Preparation works for demolition of the pavilion have begun with the demolition itself due to take place during April 2021.
Going forward, the former Bowling Green Site will be for the exclusive use of Broughton Primary School, until building work for the new nursery begins later this year.
