Well done P6! Thanks for representing our school so well!
A week on Saturday is our Summer Fair 10 June (Sat) 11:30-14:30!! Loads of activities for all ages, games for the children, bake stall, BBQ, Glass tombola, performances and fencing workshop by local clubs etc etc… FREE entry but plenty of opportunities to spend your pennies. Bring your friends, family and neighbours along!
All funds raised help subside school outings, gardening, social projects and playground improvements. 😊 Thank you!
This week we had our Sports Day in St. Mark’s Park.
It was lovely to see everyone taking part so well, and we were so lucky to have such beautiful sunny weather! Huge thanks to Mrs Bertram for all her organisation, and to our P7 helpers who practically ran the P1-3 Sports themselves!

We also had support from our Friends at Broughton parents and carers- see below how they helped out…
This week the FAB team helped served at three sporting events! Nursery sports days on Monday and Wednesday and the school sports day on Tuesday! What fantastic few days of sunshine and such buzzing atmosphere.
With our local Canonmills #Tesco donating 200 pieces of fruits meant we managed to offer them FREE to our pupils on the school’s sports day.
Big thanks the volunteers for donating your valuable time and refreshments (home baking or otherwise), and those who came and bought from us. You all helped raise a total of £181.59!
The amount will help to subsidise school outings, playground improvements, gardening or social events.
Toby Sewell (P2) was out on a walk in Holyrood Park and he spent over half an hour litter picking, which he later put in the appropriate recycling bins.

We are very lucky to have a few fruit trees in our lower playground. However, during the winter, it is hard to identify what they are! It took five parents to design, print, laminate, identify and tie these labels on – true team work! The pupils who attended our Playground Tidy Up event in March played a big part in colouring in and sticking pictures on, adding all the more important finishing touches to producing these fabulous labels! Well done to them.

We encourage families to go and admire these labels and talk to your children about them, appreciate these fruit trees, help look after them and watch the flowers turning into fruits soon!
